At Pointer Clinic we believe in treating all animals that walk through our door as if they were our own. We value and understand the importance of our four-legged friends within the family dynamic, as each member of our team has an extended family of furry loved ones.

Nazli Kreft - van den Kieboom, DVM

I was born in the Netherlands and then lived in many different countries, going to school in many different languages. I returned to Holland to study at the University of Utrecht, Faculteit Diergeneeskunde (Veterinary Medicine). I graduated with honours in 1987 in the specialisation of companion animals, including rodents, reptiles and birds.

I am married to Stephan and have a daughter and son that both live in Holland.

At the moment we have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 tortoises, 2 sheep, 6 chickens, 2 quails and many fish. I spend most of my free time with them and maintaining the garden of our house in the campo.

Melinda About us
Melinda Gunzel

Veterinary nurse

I was born in Sweden but have lived more than half my life here in Marbella, Spain.

I spend most of my free time with my 2 dogs, Mina (English Pointer) and Doby (Dachshund, Chihuahua X) a rescue dog. Both Mina and Doby tend to be at our clinic during working hours. I feel very lucky that I can bring my dogs to work with me.

When I'm not at work I spend as much time as possible in the stables with my horse Amante or enjoying all the nice things that the Marbella area has to offer with family and friends.

I have worked as a veterinary nurse/receptionist + all the other things that a veterinary nurse does for Nazli for quite a few years now, which I enjoy very much.

Caroline Grahm

I grew up in the north of England in a small village in the countryside. At the age of 17 I moved to Madrid as an au pair for a Spanish political family.

Since then I have spent most of my life in Spain and frequently travelled to Sweden and Finland. Until I married a handsome Swede and settled down in Estepona.

My family life consists of 12 horses, 2 dogs, a tortoise, a canary, a guinea pig and 4 young children.

I love the outdoors and live in the saddle! All of my children have also been brainwashed to love horse riding!

I enjoy working part time at the Pointer Clinic, as this was always a childhood dream job.

Stray Fund

At the Pointer Clinic we try and do what we can to help the stray animal population. We no longer have the space to keep and rehome kittens, but we have our own stray fund to cover the costs of operating on stray cats or dogs in the local area.

Recently we have sterilized all of the local cats that we could trap, and also stray wild dogs in the area. We are always willing to do this, and Nazli and the team give their time for free, but we do appreciate donations to cover the cost of medication and anaesthetics. We have our own collection tin on reception at the clinic, or if you wanted to donate directly to the fund, please follow this link directly to our Paypal account.

We’d like to thank everyone that donates, even the smallest amount of loose change adds up and makes a difference.
